From the Mouth of Gooner…

The Scene: 30 Weeks and I was sick this morning. Not a surprise right!? Anyway, Gooner knew I didn’t feel well, so she brought me butt creme for diaper rash, the only “medicine” she can reach.

Gooner: “Mom, this will make you feel better!”

Pretty sure that will NOT help the nausea, BUT sweet all the same!

  5. Awwwwe. šŸ™‚ I’ve been thinking about you! Hope you start feeling better soon and that it’s not like that for the last 10 weeks.

  6. That is SO sweet! And, in a few months it will be exactly what you need when it’s diaper changing time. Such a smart girl. šŸ™‚

  7. So sweet! At least her heart was in the right place…even if the medicine wasn’t helpful. šŸ˜‰ I love it!

  8. The Mommy

    That IS sweet!
I had a migraine last weekend and was home alone with the girls. I was on the couch crying and Ellie gave me a hug and whispered, “Be nice to me”. For some reason she thought that would make me feel better. I think she was trying to say that she would be nice to me.

šŸ™‚ The instinct to help is quite endearing. And who knows, perhaps the creme will help you? Ha!

  10. Precious, she will be a great big sister. I adore the the words that come out of young children’s mouths.

To answer your question from my earlier post wheat berries are the whole kernel. So when I grind my wheat I am getting the germ, the bran and the endosperm. The endosperm is the bulk of the grain but has the least nutrients, this is what they use for white flour, they discard the bran and germ and sell it separately. You can even boil the wheat berries like rice and eat it sprinkled over salads or topped with sauce.

That is great that you can grind your wheat at your local store, I have never seen that.

Wheat berries in tact and stored properly will last many years. Once ground they are subject to heat and tend to lose their nutritional value over time.

I know this is not for everyone and is one more thing to do. That’s why I make my kids grind the wheat.
